Once outlook is opened Click on the Tools button and scroll down to accounts and left click accounts as shown in the image below.
Click on the 'Add' Button and then Click on the 'Mail' Button as shown in the picture below.
In the box that pops up Enter your name then click next.
In the next box enter your email address (eg, me@mydomain.com). Click Next.
In the next box that Appears choose POP3 as the mailserver type. For the incoming and outgoing mailservers enter mail.mydomain.com as shown in the image below.
Once the information is in click 'next'.
Enter your email address for the account name and enter your password as shown in the screen to the right.
Now click Next and then Click 'Finish' on the next screen.
You will now see your new mail account in the list as shown in the image below.
Double left click on your account.
On the box that pops up click on the 'Servers' Tab.
Make sure you tick the 'My Server requires authentication' checkbox.
Your screen should look similar to the one below.
Click Apply & then get back to Outlook.
Click send and receive and the connection should work fine.
